Our 2018 Renewal Period runs from September 1st, 2017 to October 31st, 2017.
An individual must hold a current certificate of registration (license) issued by the Registered Nurses Association of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (RNANT/NU) to legally work as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Registration is valid from January 1st to December 31st of the current year.
All renewal applications must be received by October 31st to avoid a late submission fee of $100 + 5% GST. If your renewal application is not received by October 31st, 2017 your application may not be processed in time for you to commence work on January 1st, 2018.
What forms do I need to submit to renew my registration?
The following are required to renew your registration as an RN, NP, or Associate Non-Practicing Member:
Note: If you are renewing your registration as an associate non-practicing member, you will not be able to actively practice as an RN or NP in the NT and NU. To actively practice as an RN or NP in the future, you will be required to complete a reinstatement application.

Has my Renewal Application been processed?
To verify that your renewal application has been processed and you are registered for 2018, please visit our Registration Verification Page.
Please allow at least 15 business days for your Renewal Application to be processed. If you do not receive a confirmation email from the RNANT/NU office and/or your online registration verification does not indicate you are registered for 2018 after this time period, please contact our office.
Note: Renewal applications received after December 31st, 2017 will not be processed and the applicant will be required to complete a reinstatement application.
