When does my license expire?
All licenses are in effect from January 1 - December 31 of each year.
How long is the processing time?
Renewals and Initial applications will be processed within 15 business days once all documents are received. If there is missing information or complications with your renewal this may delay the process.
Can my employer send my renewal documents on my behalf?
No. All applications must be submitted by the applicant.
What happens if I don’t renew during the renewal period from September 1 – October 31 of each year?
Renewal processed after October 31 will be subject to a $100 + GST late fee.
Applications received after December 31 will need to reinstate their license.

What happens if my payment isn’t approved?
One of our staff members will call or email you to confirm the payment information provided and/or to provide an alternative credit card.
Can my employer provide a credit card to pay the fees on my behalf?
Yes, your employer can fill out the payment authorization form and submit this to RNANT/NU for processing.
Can you send a copy of my receipt and registration directly to the employer?
The Registration Coordinator will send you an email copy of the receipt and registration. You can then forward this directly to your employer if they request a copy.
Will I be notified when my Renewal/Initial Application has been completed?
Yes! The Registration Coordinator will send you an email with a copy of your license and your receipt.

How many practice hours do I need?
RN: 1125 in 5 years
NP: 1125 in 4 years
What happens if I miss filling out a section?
This could delay the processing of your application. One of our staff members will email you to request the missing information.
When are the Renewal forms available?
The renewal forms will be online September 1st of each year.
Why do you need my email address?
As we move towards having our renewal process online you will need to have an email address to access the system. Please ensure this is an email that you check on a regular basis.
