The NCLEX-RN is administrated by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and delivered by Pearson Vue. However, it is the RNANT/NU that assesses a candidate’s eligibility to write the examination in the NT or NU. This means you must apply to both Pearson Vue and the RNANT/NU to write the examination. Both applications are due a minimum of 30 days before the date you wish to write the exam.
If you have already written a Canadian Exam and are currently practicing as an RN in Canada you cannot write the NCLEX though a Canadian jurisdiction, you will need to apply to write through a member organization. Once registered with them you can then apply to write the NCLEX. You then can write the NCLEX anywhere in Canada, but the member organization receives your results. This is usually done if you are looking at work in the United States.
