Assessment of Nursing Practice Hours
Nursing hours claimed on the Annual Registration Application form must be nursing practice hours as they are used to determine continuing competency.
Are you currently working in 1 of the 5 domains of nursing (administration, clinical care, education, policy and research) in a non-traditional role or self-employed? Are you unsure if your role is within the domains of nursing? If the answer is ‘yes’, you need to have the RNANT/NU assess your current hours of practice for equivalency to nursing practice hours.
